Sidney Wooldridge is carving out her own path in the game, driven by belief, ambition, and purpose. A goalkeeper at Southern University, she represents a generation of young Black women pushing the future of American soccer forward, unafraid to aim for the highest levels and dream beyond limits. With aspirations to compete at the top of the sport and one day represent her country, Sidney stands alongside the young Black women redefining what is possible in the women’s game. At an HBCU that feels like home, Sidney reflects exactly what Black Star exists to champion: young Black women loving the game, using football as a space to grow, belong, and chase big dreams in environments that support them fully.
