SCREENING ONLINE Oct. 21 — In Walt Mzengi's short film TIMÊLA, two young Black men encounter a young white woman while walking home late at night. While Letsego would rather not linger, Mykel makes an unexpected decision that could impact all three of their lives forever. Mzengi (@waltmnengicorey) is a Black filmmaker who believes in the responsibility and power of visual media to uplift and to generate avenues where Black artists can strive and be themselves through art. He has worked on several award-winning films while in South Africa and has written and directed films selected at festivals such as Black Star Film Festival and Monmouth Film Festival.
