SAME GOD screening + discussion • TOMORROW at 5:30 p.m. In 2015, as anti-Muslim rhetoric was escalating, a black female professor at Wheaton College, a prominent Christian institution, posted a photo of herself in a hijab on Facebook. “I love my Muslim neighbor,” she wrote, “because s/he deserves love by virtue of her/his human dignity…we worship the Same God.” The firestorm that followed her statement exposed the rifts among evangelicals over race, religious freedom, and Donald Trump. SAME GOD follows the professor’s journey as well as the progression of the larger polarization. Joining us for the discussion will be Michael Mangis, who appears in the film and is a clinical psychologist and former Professor of Counseling at Wheaton College; and the Rev.
