Did I know it was going to be good for my mental health? Yes
I’ve always had this love/hate relationship with fitness
When I first set out to lose weight it was my enemy. Even walking half a mile wreaked havoc on my whole body and I just wanted to lay in bed
With some forced consistency it became easier and then followed the non scale victories
Which lead me to push myself harder to hit new milestones
The most difficult part for me is just getting there. Once I’m in I have very little room for excuse to not be successful - even if it’s just 20 min on a treadmill
Someone told me yesterday “the heaviest weight in the gym is the front door” - I agree with this 100%
Over the last year and a half I have beat myself up so bad emotionally over the fact that I wasn’t able to continue my weightless journey in the timeframe I had planned
