I’ll be honest, I never used to be into yoga
I would say it’s too slow paced, I didn’t feel like it was a real workout, I would be bored, etc
I made lots of excuses
It wasn’t until attending a weekly yoga class was a stipulation of a contract I had to fulfill, did I really understand the appeal and benefits
First and foremost it’s a HUGE part of the recovery process after lifting heavy weights which I’ve been doing a lot of lately
Second, it allows your body to be fluid and flexible which is something I haven’t felt since I was a kid and doing gymnastics
I chose to do the Y6 Restore class and it was everything I needed!
The heated room helped my muscles move better and the focus of that class was shoulders and hips and coincidentally those are my two problem areas
