“I enjoyed learning about different aspects of public art and learned new things that I didn't know before. I engaged with new artists and was inspired by other youth doing public artwork and entering the public art field.” This was one the experiences shared by CreateSpace Public Art Forum participant Isabelle Zwicker who was among the 54 youth who took part in this national program! This week we’re featuring #CreateSpacePublicArtForum participant artwork that reimagines the use of an empty wall at 525 John St, Burlington, ON. The 2023 virtual forum brought together emerging artists from across Canada, providing them with relationships and support needed to develop public art practices.
