In the final stretch of its 12-hour journey to Launch Complex 39B on Jan. 17, the Artemis II SLS (Space Launch System) rocket and Orion spacecraft formed a silhouette in the glowing Florida evening sky. With rollout complete, teams are now preparing the rocket for a wet dress rehearsal, a test of fueling operations and countdown procedures targeted for no later than Feb. 2. Additional wet dress rehearsals may be required to ensure the vehicle is completely checked out and ready for flight.
