California residents have been affected by an onslaught of atmospheric rivers — 15 so far — since December, which have brought significant amounts of snow, rain and power outages across the state. More than 800 Red Crossers have deployed from all over the country to ensure people get the help they need. In Pajaro, CA, volunteers and Latino Engagement Team members have been distributing emergency relief supplies and hot meals, and working with local residents to determine how the Red Cross can best meet the needs of the community after residents return from a nearly two-week evacuation.
