The Community Church of Chesterland has recently become a target of vandalization and an attack with a Molotov cocktail in response to its drag-themed events scheduled on April 1. An investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Chesterland police detectives led to identifying an individual for the attack, says Chesterland’s police chief Craig Young. On Friday, March 31, Aimenn D. Penny of Alliance was arrested and charged with arson. Tomorrow, the church will host its drag events as planned — though, security will be ramped up at all events.
