yesterday my very lovely girlfriend and bts photographer sessiesnotanickname posted some digitals from a documentary project i directed but never finished almost 2 whole years ago. in honor of that i thought i’d share some of my favorite stills from “halfsmile” originally, i had an entirely different project planned out and scrapped everything with 3 weeks left in the semester. in between finals, taking grad photos, and moving out of my apartment we shot the whole thing in 2 days and cut it to show at becadocs in 6 hours i was completely in over my head: it’s missing entire scenes, uses takes we didn’t have time to reshoot, and its edited by a complete chud (me) but i’m still proud of it and beyond grateful to everyone who helped to make it happen <3 #photography #documentary #halfsmile #sutrobaths #sanfrancisco
