Explosive solar activity lit up Earth’s skies on Monday after a radiation storm ranked level four out of five was recorded by the National Weather Service’s Space Weather Prediction Center. From Australia to the United Kingdom, the world experienced vividly colourful auroral lights caused by the solar flares, which also created GPS issues for the aircrafts in the sky at the time.
