Pakistani firefighters combed the charred ruins of Karachi’s Gul Plaza mall for more than 60 missing people after a massive blaze killed at least 15 people. The fire broke out late Saturday (January 18) in the multi‑storey complex which housed some 1,200 shops in the city’s historic centre. Most of the building had collapsed by Monday afternoon, with cranes surrounding the remaining structure amid fears it might collapse.
