“Have Mercy” Voyage Showcase - _outerclass erynallenkane ♥️🥀❤️‍🩹 This piece meant a lot to me for various different reasons. Back in May when I was asked to present work for this showcase, I found myself in a really low place both emotionally & creatively. Emotionally, I was handling situations & feelings that had an almost generational weight to them, which made me feel hopeless. Creatively, I was experiencing a lack of motivation & drive to express myself through all the emotions I was feeling at the time. This beautiful song is one that has seen me through the lowest times in my life, from college until now & this song was the only song I felt like I resonated with at the time. You best believe the imposter syndrome around choreographing a contemporary piece to put on front of an audience added more weight to how I was already feeling….
