❤️‍🩹 this is my FIRST EVER song I recorded!! :) can’t believe that I’m choreographing to my own voice and a track that was made with the whole performance and visual in mind. With recording my own song came its own challenges. There are so many aspects of it that I wish I had done “better,” but I think that while beginning again is honestly terrifying, it is also so joy, wonder, and honestly fun-filled. yunajo and I decided we wanted to shoot in a theater 1) cuz it just looked pretty LOL, but 2) we felt we could utilize the space in a way that encapsulated different roles as performers, spectators, the ones being spectated, and the process of preparation. This whole journey of singing has certainly encompassed all of those different things for myself 🥹 I’ve also experienced so deeply throughout “Break My Heart” the power of passionate people who each contribute their own excellence to a larger vision.
