17 years (!) ago a show closed on Broadway called SPRING AWAKENING I keep a calendar reminder of this because it was a thunderous end to my first Broadway show and a shot out of a cannon in some ways. It seems impossible that this was 17 years ago because time doesn’t make any sense. The show was groundbreaking in every way - not just to my life - but I got to inhabit so many of the roles as I understudied 5 of them (here’s me playing broadways favorite bottom Ernst) I’ve been thinking a lot about this little 2016 trend and why we spend so much time in reverse I’ll be honest / I miss Broadway these days. I miss doing a show and telling a story. Who knows what the next 17 years hold But I am always proud to say I was a part of the original production of this show. #springawakeningmusical #springawakening #broadway #musicals #musicaltheatre
