With the World Baseball Classic in full swing, this is one international player who can make the jump to the MLB very soon… Japan’s right-handed pitcher, Roki Sasaki, is one of the top international players to watch during the World Baseball Classic. The young Chiba Lotte Marines player is only 21 years old and boasts a 2.02 ERA. In his young career, Sasaki has a 7.52 strikeout-to-walk ratio and already threw a 19-strikeout perfect game. MLB viewers might get a look at Sasaki one day in the Major Leagues. Many other pitchers from Sasaki’s Nippon Professional Baseball League have already made a successful jump to the MLB, including aces Shohei Ohtani and Yu Darvish. With a fastball in the upper 90s and other breaking ball pitches in his arsenal, Saski could be facing MLB batters before you know it.
