This season the MLB says farewell to one of the best first baseman to play the game, Miguel Cabrera. Let’s take a look back at 3 of Cabrera’s top career moments. Cabrera won the World Series as a rookie with the Marlins in 2003. As a 20-year-old rookie, Cabrera homered off of seasoned veteran Roger Clemens to give the Marlins a boost, as they won three straight games to win the Series. Miggy also captured the Triple Crown in 2012 with the Detroit Tigers. Cabrera batted .330 with 44 homers and 139 RBIs. Making this feat even more impressive was that this was the first Triple Crown in 45 years. In 2022, Cabrera joined the 3,000th hit club. Cabrera is only the 33rd player to reach this milestone and only the seventh in MLB history to have 500 homers with his 3,000 career hits.
