Did the Dodgers’ title hopes just go up in smoke with Gavin Lux’s injury? Here’s more ⬇️ At only 25 years old, this year, Lux was making the move back to his natural position at shortstop. At short, Lux was already replacing Trea Turner, who was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies. Now, the Dodgers’ will most likely replace Lux with Miguel Rojas. In 421 regular season at bats, Lux averaged .276 with 42 RBIs and an on base percentage of .745. At 34, Rojas is nine years older than Lux. And in 471 regular season at bats, Rojas averaged .236 with 36 RBIs and an on base percentage of .606. Both Lux and Rojas hit 6 home runs and Rojas poses slightly more of a threat on the basepath with 9 stolen bases to Lux’s 7. Only time will tell what type of effect Lux’s injury will have on the Dodgers’ World Series hopes, but it seems that their rise to the top just got a little steeper.
