An all-girls football team from Sagkeeng First Nation has been awarded a $25,000 grant to support girls’ football and long-term community impact. The funding, awarded through NFL Canada Presents: NFL Forward Pass, will help expand access to equipment, travel, and programming for girls who often face financial and geographic barriers to sport. “At a time when reconciliation must be reflected in action, not just words, this investment supports long-term community impact,” said Jeffrey Wilson, Red River Métis and VP of Operations for the Falcons Football Club.
