I make it my job to see the unconventional story. I tell stories about how self-growth, leadership, faith, and living a life with purpose end up making a difference: in our own life, in relationships, on a team, and in a community— and the fact is, what makes a difference is usually pretty unconventional. So, here we are. This year I had the honor of telling the stories of the 2022 Major League Baseball season and the home team I was placed with was the San Diego Padres (I’d like to think not by accident). 30 teams, one World Series Champ, and many stories that I could share… but the one I want to tell is about them. It’s about their courage to do one of the most difficult parts of leadership— and frankly, why they should inspire the heck out of you.
