The Ancient Future Part One: Paint/Decorate Drums, Remote meeting with Douglas R. Ewart to discuss the symbiotic nature of clay and sound and engage in simple musical improvisation. The students had a great time with some hands on learning. There's still more to come! Event Schedule: April 5, 5pm NART C: Douglas will be on campus in the Ceramics studio decorating a ceramic digeridoo, hanging out with students, and leading simple musical improvisations with participants. April 6, 6:30 pm French Auditorium EHS Building: Ancient Future participants present a short, improvised performance led by Douglas to demonstrate the connections made through clay and sound. Followed by Douglas’s lecture on his work and outreach.
