Philadelphia's food scene is getting national attention after more than a dozen local restaurants, chefs and bars were nominated by the prestigious James Beard Foundation. Some local nominees include Greg Vernick, a semifinalist for Outstanding Restaurateur, and Frankie Ramirez, who's nominated for Emerging Chef. The final list of nominees will be announced March 31, and the awards ceremony is slated for June 15 in Chicago.
