Trivia Tuesday Throwback 🏁 Ed “Iron Man” Kretz won the very first Daytona 200 in 1937 on an Indian Sport Scout and did it unforgettably. He crashed twice exiting the south turn, picked the bike up both times, and kept charging. By the time the checkered flag flew, Kretz had lapped the entire 86-rider field in one of the most dominant performances in 200 history. Back then, the Daytona 200 resembled a modern Supermoto race. The 3.2-mile course ran partly on a public road and partly on the actual sands of Daytona Beach.
