Urgent: The Boundary Waters need your help, and we have limited time to act! The breathtaking Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northern Minnesota is the most visited wilderness in the United States — for good reason. More than 150,000 people go there every year, drawn to its vast network of pristine lakes and rivers, its beautiful boreal forests, rare wildlife like wolves and Canada lynx, and the sheer solitude of its unspoiled landscapes. In 2023 the Biden administration enacted a 20-year ban to protect 225,000 acres of Superior National Forest, which lies in the watershed of the Boundary Waters, from risky copper mining. Protecting the forest also safeguards other precious lands downstream, including Voyageurs National Park. Now Congress is considering a bill to permanently revoke the ban — putting the Boundary Waters at great risk of being sacrificed for short-term private profit.
