⚾ A look back at an incredible Scout Day at the Astros Youth Academy! Each year, the Astros Youth Academy hosts this special event on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a day dedicated to celebrating opportunity, progress, and purpose. This year’s group of high school athletes impressed scouts from both college and professional levels with their dedication, skill, and heart. This event continues to honor Dr. King’s legacy by empowering dreams and expanding opportunities for youth throughout our community. Several Astros Youth Academy graduates have advanced to college or professional baseball, including Brice Matthews, who made history in 2025 as the first alum to debut with the Astros. Through programs like Scout Day, we remain proud to help shape the next generation of athletes, scholars, and leaders.
