A Martin Luther King Jr. Day reminder… When people hear “nonviolence,” they often assume it means doing nothing, a passive refusal to fight. But MLK Jr. did not see it as retreat. He called it “a moral force,” a deliberate choice that rejects the idea that conflict must be solved through escalation. He was not suggesting we ignore injustice. He was saying that revenge and retaliation do not end conflict, they only prolong it. When we keep reacting this way, escalation becomes the only story we know how to tell. King’s message is that we need to move beyond that logic. We must learn to face conflict without becoming conflict ourselves. That means choosing a method rooted in humanity, even when it is hard, even when it feels like surrender. Because the future of humanity depends on our ability to live together in peace. And peace is not necessarily the absence of conflict, it is the ability to transform conflict into something constructive. #MLK #MLKDay #MartinLutherKingJr #Peace #N...
