Our second-year students, or Elevaters, are working hard to develop crucial leadership, teaching, and mentoring skills in the Elevate classroom. They will then bring those skills out into the community by serving as mentors for elementary-age students in the Little Elevate program. In response to community gaps, the Elevater cirriculum has pivoted to focus on literacy growth among elementary students. Our Elevaters serve our partner schools with literacy tutoring and mentoring in character qualities and life skills. Through the Little Elevater model, our students create meaningful connections with their younger counterparts, providing holistic support to help these students become their best selves.
