The best thing I did in Korea was NOT skincare or shopping, it was getting a comprehensive health exam. And honestly, it might’ve been one of the most valuable things I’ve ever done for my health. I found out I have a mild stomach infection and a small ovarian cyst — both of which were news to me! And if you’re wondering, “waittt, you have PCOS… doesn’t that mean you always had cysts?” — not necessarily. That’s one of the biggest misconceptions about PCOS. You don’t need cysts in your ovaries to be diagnosed and you can even have cysts without having PCOS at all! The last time I got an ultrasound in the States, I was told I didn’t have any cysts. So hearing that I do now was surprising but also so helpful to know early! Honestly, this health exam alone made the entire Korea trip worth it. It’s affordable, incredibly thorough, and truly preventative — something I wish we prioritized more around the world. Here’s to knowing your body better before something becomes serious!!! • • •...
