Come spend a solo travel day with me to Washington, D.C. for a very special day in my family’s history. 🪖 I was invited to attend the Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony honoring the 369th Infantry Regiment, known as the Harlem Hellfighters. These brave men—my great-grandfather Leander Willett among them—served heroically in World War I, and spent more time on the front lines than any American regiment (191 days).
