One year ago today, Summer had the chance to observe her dad perform surgery—and it’s still one of our favorite memories to look back on. 🥼 She was so excited to wear scrubs just like dr.marvinksmith, and selected a pair of pink protective glasses for the occasion. From the moment we arrived, she was locked in. Marvin walked her through everything—from the instruments and anatomy to the flow of the procedure—and she listened with the focus of someone 5x her age. ⚒️ She stood there soaking in the 30-min procedure, asking questions, and even pointing out parts of the anatomy on the screen that Daddy had just reviewed with her. It was like watching a fourth-year med student interacting with an attending. 😂 After the case, she had snacks in the lounge, visited her favorite staff members upstairs in the office, and fell asleep on the ride home—completely tuckered out from her big day. 😪 It was an incredible educational experience, but even more than that, it was incredibly meaningful...
