Spend a day with us in Pisa and Florence in less than a minute and a half! Two beautiful cities full of history and a lot of cobblestone! 😅
We started at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, made our way across the Arno River, and spent the rest of the day exploring Florence—the Duomo, the Baptistery of St. John, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and more. It was one of those long, full days of that you’ll always remember and having a plan made all the difference! 🗺️
Tips for visiting Pisa & Florence in the summer with small children from what we learned on our trip:
💚 Bring a sturdy stroller that can handle cobblestones.
🤍 Pack portable fans and water bottles (it’s especially hot mid-day).
❤️ Hire a local guide (we loved our toursbylocals guide, Guiseppe, who was from Florence and shared personal stories and shortcuts that were in the shade).
💚 Stop for gelato in shaded areas.
🤍 Plan ahead for bathroom breaks (many restrooms are inside cafés or require a purchase).
