There was a season of my life where I said yes to everything - not to chase success, but to create safety and security for my family. I was the breadwinner of my family, we were deep in debt, and doing what was necessary came with tradeoffs - I missed things with my family, and then I had extreme mom guilt. But I learned that taking responsibility for your life isn't always pretty - but it still matters. And guilt doesn't help the people you love - gratitude does. Instead of apologizing for my ambition, I started thanking the people who supported me, and that's when everything shifted.
