The year was 2016. This young man in the first photo made a point to say “hello” to #MCSO Corporal Pettis and have a conversation with him. We proudly donned our red noses in support of #NationalRedNoseDay. Platoon Class 1602 just graduated. MCSO surpassed its goal of collecting over 25 units during our blood drive, participated in the Inaugural Annual Health Wellness Expo at Greater Salem Church, and attended the Parent Resource Fair at Druid Hills Academy. At the time, the agency had just begun its partnership with North Star Reading Partners to mentor 3rd graders. Now Corporal Rose, formerly Deputy R. Rose received the Queen City Optimist Club Deputy of the Year award. Now Major DeLeon, formerly Sgt. DeLeon discussed social media risks with parents. Sergeant Morin was promoted to Captain; Deputies K. Drumm (now Major Drumm) and M. DeSantis (now Captain DeSantis) became Sergeants.
