Kariya Park is located in Mississauga, near Square One, which is about 35-45 minutes from Toronto. Fun fact: Kariya Park is named after Mississauga’s sister city, Kariya, Japan.
Tips when visiting Kariya Park:
🌸The blooms happen in early to mid-April and should last a few weeks (weather dependent). There are Magnolia trees and ornamental cherry trees.
🌸Kariya Park is actually a Japanese Garden. We suggest spending time discovering the art sculptures and beautiful pathways throughout.
🌸It’s a great place for meditation on a quiet day.
🌸If you’re planning to visit during the popular cherry blossom and magnolias season, we suggest visiting on “off hours” such as mornings during weekdays. The weekends are quite busy.
🌸There is limited street parking. Please be mindful of the parking and no parking signs to ensure you don’t get a ticket. There is also an underground parking lot 100 metres from the park.
