So much snow has fallen at Mt. Bachelor ski area that its season has been extended through May 28. That’s great news for skiers like Bend resident Christie Dobson, who can ski on the same day she surfs the standing wave on the Deschutes River. “Late season skiing is fun,” said Dobson. “It’s especially good for those trying to learn to ski or don’t love skiing in snow storms."
