Otega Oweh scored 22 points on 10-of-17 shooting and added five steals as Kentucky rallied from a 12-point deficit to beat Mississippi State 92–68 on Saturday night.
Mississippi State jumped out early, using a Jayden Epps 3-pointer to ignite a 14–2 run and build a 12-point lead just over five minutes into the game. The Bulldogs shot 57% in the first half, but turnovers proved costly. Kentucky capitalized with a 12–4 edge in points off turnovers and outscored Mississippi State 10–2 on second-chance points to take a 44–39 halftime lead.
The Bulldogs briefly cut the deficit to one early in the second half when Achor Achor and Josh Hubbard scored on consecutive possessions. Still, Kentucky responded with relentless defensive pressure and transition scoring. The Wildcats poured it on the rest of the way, finishing with 27 points off 15 Mississippi State turnovers and pulling away late.
