Scientists at Northwestern University have recently made a breakthrough in the study of paralysis. A new drug has been used on a paralyzed mouse, and it was able to regain its ability to walk. The drug is a self-assembling gel that promotes the regeneration of cells and could one day help with the recovery of human paralysis and other spinal injuries. The research was published in the journal Science in November 2021, and the team of Northwestern University scientists behind it hopes to approach the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as early as 2024 to propose human trials. #paralyzed #mouse #mice #breakthrough #paralysis #spinalinjury #spinal #science #biology
