Jill Scott recognizes that empty consumption—whether it's music, food, or love—always leaves us starving for substance. In a new interview with NTS Radio, she explains, “People are so caught up in the aesthetic—in the look of a thing—that they're missing the most important part. If we're talking about a relationship, if we're talking about a meal—in the United States there's a lot of markets where they don't have real food, so you're cooking with something that's disingenuous to start with." That same emptiness, she argues, has infiltrated everything: love, business, connection. "It feels that way when it comes to our relationships. We're missing out on what actually matters, what's really giving us nutrients." Jill Scott's new album, 'To Whom This May Concern,' is set to release February 13. Singles "Beautiful People" and "Pressha" are out now. __ 📹 via @NTS Radio #pigeonsandplanes #jillscott #neosoul #aesthetic
