Kallik, the new resident polar bear at oregonzoo arrived in Portland last week from St. Louis. “His nose has been going wild,” says Amy Hash, the zoo’s marine life area supervisor. “Polar bears can smell up to a mile away, which means he’s smelling the elephant ear cart.
