This is what I wrote in my notes app on the bus right after I finished playing the last game of my career: “I can’t even find the words, idk what to think right now. I just played my last college softball game ever. It has been a hell of a journey. I love softball yeah, but I love the environment more. I love my teammates, my family and the competitiveness. I played this season for my younger self, and I think I made her proud. These have been the BEST years of my life. Thank you. Thank you Mom, Dad, Payton and Logan. Thank you Marshall and the coaching staff for believing in me and letting me play free my last season. Thank you Francis Marion and the coaching staff for bringing back my love for the game. Thank you me for persevering through the fire and growing from Newberry. I wouldn’t change or trade my journey for the world. I trust that everything happens for a reason. I am not done yet.
