The goal was to distract the infield long enough for my teammate on third base to score (mission accomplished.) Somehow, I managed to end up being safe as well. Plays like these feel so much longer than they actually are. I felt like they threw the ball 10x back and forth. I train agility quite a bit, but I wouldn’t say I’m a speed demon or elite base runner by any means. So this felt exhilarating, and I wanted to share.
