My Grandmother used to bake a ricotta cake and it was a staple growing up up. A slice with a cup of ‘black coffee’ (she always asked us if we wanted brown or black coffee) is how my Dad used to love to end a meal. Regrettably I never found Grams recipe. I’ve made so many recipes over the years to try and replicate the taste of hers and I always fell short. I came across this recipe from miciamammas and gave it a go. And you know what? If I closed my eyes I swear I was back in my Grandmothers kitchen. My search is over. This will be my go to from now on. What a delicious and simple this cake is. And how powerful are food memories?🥹❤️. Thank you so much Dena for the wonderful inspiration
