This district is tied together by a band of highway and the water that flows beneath it. That water is quite literally the life blood of south central Idaho, so I want to make sure I’m aware of the issues we face with water use. Yesterday, I spent the day at “water college”, an education day organized by the Idaho Water Users Association. I was able to learn valuable lessons about the work being done to manage our water as well as some really cool history. We visited the Burley Irrigation District where some of the pumps have been in use since the early 1900s! We also toured the Twin Falls Waste Treatment Facility and the A & B Irrigation District pump station, which features some great water saving technology. I’m thankful for the information as it will help me serve the people of D26!
