If you sleep with one foot outside the blankets, there is actually some science behind why it feels so good. Our feet have lots of blood vessels close to the skin, which makes them great at releasing heat. When a foot is uncovered, those vessels open up and let your body cool down more easily, helping your core temperature drop. That temperature drop is one of the main signals your body uses to fall asleep. Studies on sleep and temperature show that people drift off faster when their hands and feet are warmer than the rest of their body and their core temperature is slightly lower. Letting one foot peek out can create that balance, which is why so many people say it helps them fall asleep quicker and sleep more comfortably. It will not work for everyone, but for “hot sleepers” especially, the one foot out trick might be doing more than you realize. #Pubity #Viral #Studies
