Universal Kids Resort is a brand-new children-focused theme park and entertainment resort currently under construction in Frisco, Texas. Scheduled to open in May 2026, this 32-acre destination will become the sixth Universal resort worldwide and the third in the United States. Designed specifically for families with young children, Universal Kids Resort will feature immersive lands inspired by some of Universal’s most popular franchises, including Gabby’s Dollhouse, Trolls, Shrek and Puss in Boots, Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Despicable Me. The resort will also include a five-story, 300-room on-site hotel. The project was first announced on January 11, 2023, as a brand-new concept resort aimed at younger guests.
