Forever, our girl on fire. ❤️🔥
On the ‘SmartLess’ podcast, Jennifer Lawrence is looking back on her decision to take on ‘The Hunger Games’ and the long-term impact she knew it would have on her career. ➡️
“I knew that I’d be connected to that character forever. Which isn’t good or bad-it was just something to think about,” she started. “And ultimately, I’m so happy about that. I love that. I love that I’m still connected to that.” 🥹
Lawrence acknowledged that the permanence of the role was something she seriously considered, but ultimately embraced, viewing Katniss as a meaningful and lasting part of her life and work.
That connection is continuing. Lawrence is confirmed to return as Katniss Everdeen in the upcoming prequel ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’, releasing later this year, alongside Josh Hutcherson, who will also reprise his role as Peeta Mellark. 👀
