In 2016, National Park Trust teamed up with RMConservancy, WildernessLandTrust, and local funders to buy a 12.5-acre of private property just outside the park boundary in Wild Basin. By removing the house and adding the land to the park, Rocky Mountain was able to expand its federally protected area by 33 acres.
