Big news in the EDGE District: local favorite intermezzocoffee is moving into a bigger space just down the road, with an opening date coming later this year. The beloved cafe and bar is taking over the former location of Independent Bar at 1059 Central Avenue, and Intermezzo owner Jarrett Sabatini told I Love the Burg that the move will not only give the café and cocktail bar more space to work with, but will provide the perfect opportunity to tweak and enhance the things that have made Mezzo so popular over the years. Intermezzo 2.0, as it were, will bring a Florida-meets-Mediterranean vibe to the building and courtyard. In the meantime, Intermezzo's current location will remain open for business at 1111 Central Avenue.
