But we are a Jewish Day School, so we had to go a little deeper and ask… what do Judaism and the broncos have in common?
Let’s start with last week. An unforgettable overtime win against Buffalo (sorry Bills fans, it was an interception!). The game was full of pure adrenaline, grit, and heart—followed by the gut punch of Bo Nix’s injury. High highs, real lows. If that doesn’t feel familiar to the Jewish story, you haven’t been paying attention in Judaics class.
Judaism has been practicing resilience for a few thousand years. Counted out? Often. Underdogs? Constantly. Still here? Always. And then Bo Nix goes and says the Broncos aren’t underdogs—they’re “overdogs.” That idea fits. You adapt, you regroup, and you survive.
