While some of the @usskiteam has been competing in Europe on the World Cup circuit, other U.S. Ski Team members and Minnesota World Cup hopefuls are competing this weekend in the first US SuperTour races of the season. Earning enough points can place a skier onto the U.S. Ski Team next year or help to give them a World Cup start in Minnesota this year! . Minnesotans have been showing up in full force around the world this weekend with not one, but TWO local men landing spots in the Top 10 in today’s 10k Classic SuperTour race. Bloomington-native Zak Ketterson secured first place with 15 seconds to spare 🥇 while Ian Torchia of Rochester skied into 7th place. . Twin Cities local Alayna Sonnesyn placed in the Top 15 for women in the 5k Classic SuperTour race. This follows her Top 10 finish and Minneapolis skier Caitlin Gregg’s Top 15 finish in yesterday’s sprint race. Zak Ketterson also placed Top 10 yesterday. .
